Gambling is very exhousting itself. I found it takes tremendous amount of energy, time, disbalancing your whole being and for what? Just to lose respect to who you are and lose again the sight of what you are and what your values are. That was my feelings about gambling. In last 2.5 years of my gambling career I mentioned after each trip there I become more and more exhousted and it takes me longer time to recover. Even if I would not lose much or just stand and watch someone gambling. Last time when I was at the casino, even though I didn't gamble myself, just from being there for few hours I felt empty physically and emotionaly. It took me 4 days to recover back to normal.
Please, don't feel alone! Don't let guilt and shame make you chase your loses or go back. You are back on a site and we all very happy you did come back to us quickly. We all here to support you in your recovery journey! Don't look back or ahead, give it one moment at a time and it will be alright.

S2S, That is a big part of what keeps me away. Knowing that the minute I left, I would want to go back. I am just so glad you are here. I know that you have what it takes. It is so difficult to "just say no" when all your friends are going. Build up your reserves and the next time that happens, you will have the strength to say : I just can't go. Love and hugs ~E

I've been in your shoes. It truly sucks to lose or win. Either way, you want to go back but I think it's worse when we win.

Use what you learned from this experience and it won't be a big loss mentally!

Welcome from another SFer. Yo ur episode took me back a few years when I did the same thing. I once won 72 hundred dollars in Reno playing blackjack. I cashed in, walked outside the doors turned around, walked back in sat down and they changed dealers on me and I was broke in five minutes. I went to the cash cage and used my credit card and lost that in five minutes. I did that until I couldn't use my card because my card was maxed. I asked them if they would give me an advance because I was a player. They refused and threw me out. I was totally drunk at the time and was dragged out by security. I was in shock. No money, no way to get back to the Bay Area, no place to stay so I had to call my father for plane fare to SF. All because I wanted to be a big shot and make money ganbling and showinf off how smart I was. I ended a fool. GA, or DS or whatever works for you strength will work if you work it. Good luck. I hated that problem... once I started I couldnt stop... even if I was winning, geez! This is a horrible illness that we all share and understand. We also know that there is a solution and it involves alot of work on our part.
God help me not gamble today:-)

Thanks for sharing..I totally get where you are coming from.It is disappointing that we get back into it in a heartbeat, one little runaway thought and we are in the door. Keep fighting those urges the "bug" will lessen
