My recovery, has been work, but its also been life changing, in so many ways. When I decided to FINALLY get the help that I needed to stop gambling, I had to REALLY want it, that meant, I had to do the foot work that it requires, not just "admit I was powerless." With that said, each day that I don't place a bet, is pure joy, and as corny as that sounds, I'm the happiest I have been in years.
The work isn't like "work" for me any longer, its a part of who I am. I get to enjoy the rewards of being in recovery, my rewards are self respect, self worth, the trust from my family and friends. All of which I had none of when I was in my gambling frenzy.
Today is a good day, today, I am grateful. Make it a good day my sweet warriors.

While it is still work for me, it is getting easier and I am getting mentally lighter. (Lighter in mood and less emotional baggage every day)
I still have a lot of repairs to do with the shambles I made of my life, but it is a life I want now. It is not free of misery, but it is not constant misery either; as my life in the throes of gambling had become.
Many things are helping, including D/S, thank you D/S and thank you, you two ladies for being here.
