Day 67. Funny how when I played poker, for days on end, I would "bond" with my fellow players, in a strange way I thought they were my friends, I remember being super nice as a poker player, I would warn a player if it was heads up, that I had a good hand? I also have memories of other players that would be brutal, and didnt' care who they ran over. After playing for so long, I knew many of the other gamblers, thought they were my friends, of course, I never talked with them or knew them outside of the poker room. I would also bond with the dealers, as if they were happy to see me, or I would wonder after long days of being there, what they must have thought of me?
I see now, how silly all of that make believe reality was. I also wonder if any of those players I played with for so many years are on this forum, maybe getting help like I am? I find it strange, how I was able to "bond" with complete strangers, playing poker,,,, they didnt give a damn about me though. I put myself in situations that were dangerous, mind altering realities. I remember thinking when I would look at some of the other players, they have no clue who I am, I have no clue who they are, but I still felt as though I was with people I knew, I had a comfort level with the players and the dealers, a safety of sorts?
I don't miss them, although in a strange way I have to wonder, how are those other players, are they in recovery, with me? If not, I wish them well, because I pray, I will never sit at another poker table with them, again :) xxoxoxoxox

I actually had a fork in the road moment and had to choose between that life and my family. I am so thankful I chose my family.
