It’s hard to open up to others that we have an actual addiction, and it’s an addiction that’s easy to hide it. There is a stigma attached to the title of an addict, mostly due to a lack of understanding, I believe. In many cases I have found that unless you truly understand addiction it’s a hard topic for some people to discuss. It’s not that they don’t want to help, I think they think of it as a lack of willpower, which it is not. But for the most part I don’t talk to others about my addiction, it’s just easier for me. One funny thing, not haha funny, is that I’ve starting thinking people with money problems are all complusive gamblers, which isn’t true, I’m sure. Some might just overspend, huh?
