Congrats on the 45 days!
After I quit (4 months ago) my emotions were all over the place. I would cry at the drop of a hat, sometimes I was angry, sometimes manic. It drove me nuts for awhile, but hang in there because it does get better - I promise.
I think it was because I was finally feeling all of those emotions I was numbing at the casino. When everything came back it was like a tidal wave.
When things begin calming down (it will), that is a good time to begin exploring the root causes of your addiction. But it's hard to do while your emotions are fluctuating so dramatically.
Be patient with yourself and give it time. You are on the right path.
It is only Day 13 of being GF but my colleagues told me that I look happy nowadays and handle my emotions very well.
I think, they look at me as a drama queen before. Emotional roller coaster for me everyday at work.
I am happy I am finding my way to recovery, and I am slowly but surely getting to be the person I always want to be (peace loving) - :).
It is tough, but the fruits of being GF is priceless.
Have a happy GF day everyone :)
Like all else, this too shall pass.
