I made it through taxes, I came down to the casino with $20 and I won, but I still want to make it my goal not to gamble, I bought a scratchit ticket last night. didn't win.

That's great that you made it thru taxes.
But, for me it has to be all or nothing. If I go back even once, its all over for me. I would be in the same vicious cycle that brought me to ending up here in the first place.
I sincerely hope you decide you want to quit completely.

thank you that is my goal to be completely gf. It just becomes a strong urge and I give in. I know how dangerous it is for me and how crippling it is for my family when I cant pay my bills and how emotionally draining it is to lose all that money.
I remember when our lights would get turned off and we would have to go stay with my aunt and the depression I would go through. It was heart breaking. I don't want to be in that predicament again.
I'm not 100% sure what your post is meant to suggest, but in reading it I think the best advice I could give you is to stop gambling- period. When you get the urges, remember the pain that you've felt and caused others to feel. As compulsive gamblers, and humans for that matter, we tend to forget the bad- no lights on, no money, losses- and only remember the good, or not so bad. While you may have won just recently, that only signals to me- if I were you- a bad time coming, because, hey, it's not so bad, until it is.
I'm glad you're here to seek help and since you are I'm sure you see that you've got a problem with gambling- I hope you take advantage of what is offered here and stop.
