Lying, deceiving, hiding this from the world when I want to scream
"MY LIFE IS A MESS BECAUSE I GAMBLED MY LIFE AWAY"
"I AM AN ADDICT!" I am tired of trying to protect this secret! I want to fix this. I want the pain to end! I want a better life! I cannot look away from the truth anymore! It is time to change my reality.... With rebuilding my life, putting in the work!!!!! Not lying the problem away! Not covering it up!!! I am ready! I am ready to put in the work!!! that is on important truth, Rsmithma, realizing we are addicts, and we need to do something about it. It will take work, but it is indeed possible. Congratulations on being ready! Please keep posting and let us know how you're doing. we do care!

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in recovery. Now it's time to do the work it takes to recover from this addiction. Glad you are going to take this journey with the rest of us compulsive gamblers. We will do this together.,...one day at a time.

Rsmithma, You are right and I'm so glad you came back. It's so hard to quit gambling but this D.S. site really helps. Everytime I quit coming here I fall. I will stay here no matter how long it takes and if I fall I must pick myself up and start again. The people here are just like you and me. These are the only people who really understand how difficult this addiction is to break away from. Together we can do it! Hugs! Cher
