Compulsive gambling is an urge or addiction to gamble despite harmful negative consequences or a desire to stop. So glad you are posting :)
Great post. Just the other day I was reading an article by Oprah Winfrey, where she talked about starting a gratitude journal. We have so many things to be grateful for, yet many times we allow ourselves to be consumed by all the things we are not accomplishing, or things that are not going "our way".
Today, I started a new job, and received such a warm welcome from everyone there....I am grateful and appreciative for that. I promised myself that I will make it my mission for others to see and feel that they are appreciated for al that they do. We're off to a good start, and so, too, my friend, are you!

1. Went to my cardiologist for a follow up from 6 months ago. Lost 12 pounds, dropped my cholesterol 35 points to 194 and bad cholesterol more. Said I have a less than 5% chance of kicking off due to cardiac issues for the next 10 years- that's good!
2. Fought with garbage and cable companies over bills... Unbelievable, but it seems with every little increase in the economy, companies try and mess with you every chance they get. However, if you're paying close attention (like those recovering from a gambling addiction), you catch them and call them on it... Battled waged and won!
3. And certainly not the lest of these, another one of those days where I'd definitely waste my day gambling and come up with either a masterful or pitiful excuse about why I hadn't been home yet... However, used my powers for good and not evil on #1 and #2 above as well as taking the clan out to dinner and watching my boy take his 1st driving lesson (pray for me...).
Thanks for the post, positive is good!

I'm so glad those days are over for me...yes I do miss gambling, But I have not missed, for one moment, the worthless feeling I had about blowing all the hard earned money I had just earned working so hard on that project.
Keep your mojo going, and congratulations again, for believing in yourself!
