It matters not what form the gambling takes, poker, lottery, horse races, sports betting, scratch-offs; it is like alcoholism in that it is progressive. If you come out of recovery and go back to gambling it soon escalates to the last level where you stopped.
Great that the guy got stopped, sad that it was AFTER he lost his business. The article states that he is running as tool. Hopefully there is much more to his recovery than that. (Pretty sure there is.)
Sadly, the article had an opportunity to help many compulsive gamblers and their families by posting a resource or two, but they did not take that opportunity.
