Today is day 30 for me. Starting to feel better, but its really been a slow emotional crawl back for me this time. That combined with my job, and the company basically closing its doors, its been difficult. But, I have pulled my bootstraps up and I'm ready to keep going forward.

I have been exhausted most of these last 30 days, and honestly there have been days I have just wanted to go back to bed and sleep, but I didn't. I am working a program this time, although I did last time, this time, I am being a bit more reserved, not raising my hand to "speak" as much, rather listening.

Recovery is a journey and this journey for me, is humbling, in deed.

It's good to 'stop, look and listen' - especially at a railroad crossing or any other dangerous intersection. And so with gambling, we come upon many dangerous crossroads any one of which can ruin our lives - but, only if we let it. Actually, we are in control, and sometimes we choose to go 'down the drain' because it actually feels better than facing the truth out there in real life. It is difficult to face the pitfalls of everyday living. We need strength to carry on, which is what I wish you for today and always. Yes, you dubbed us correctly - we are warriors with the strength to conquer the battle and the war. Wishing you the best. Lotsa

Congratulations on making another 30 days Free! It's a hard road but you are doing it! I can relate to life and it's problems and how difficult it can be to keep moving forward. You can do it! You are doing it! This board has been a bit quiet lately but maybe there is more listening than talking and that can be a good thing. There is so much to read and learn. Congrats on 30 days! A good GA friend/sponsor who will celebrate 48 years this week always uses the phrase: learn to listen, listen to learn. So simple, but so true.
