I am finding it very informative and it is helping me in my struggle with my inner self as I search for some kind of peace..

I will tell you when I 'was New to Recovery..I wanted all the answers to the Why I gambled.
Since I was still in the Cycle mode I believed if I found out why I gambled I could then gamble normally with ridding myself of the 'reason. LOL '(yep I was mixed up then)
'It took me a long time to see what some of the reasons were. But honestly once I crossed the line there was no turning back to 'any ''knowledge or self awareness.
Being a complsive gambler there is the Rush /buzz/adreline feeling.
'when I stopped I had to Address the External problems gambling created.
Debt repayment. Coming clean.Job hunting resume building, schooling, and then just the daily committment to the 'relationship I had which was not the best due to my not being honest.
Lots of time spent on amending outside of me with 'connecting with all that I cast aside while in the pursuit of my dReam which was 'introduced to me while gambling. Once I found I could become rich..LOL.. I followed, chased..it..
When gambling stopped. Outside problems first for me.. Then and only then did I have the time for internal .And even that was iffy due to being all over the map..with emotions.
All I know is for me..it has taken a long time to come to this time in my Recovery to 'accept and understand that there is a process..a slow day to day living in the now. And my biggest Assett is not sitting and thinking but 'getting up off my buttochs and doing. It could be a small chore, task , job .. or even helping another.
Any accomplishment lasted longer than my brain farts of 'acheivements wanted.. LOL>.
'Be well.. Sandra gams5.
