Today, I woke up so light hearted.
Cooked my favorite breakfast, it tasted so good. Felt like it was the best pancake I had in lifetime.
I don't know what is today, but I feel happy inside. I talked to my mom last night and she was so happy about me being on recovery.
This is my official rest day this week. Yesterday, Saturday, i went to work to do some works on our inventory, then I went little shopping for myself. I couldn't remember when I bought myself something which I really liked and happy about. (Made me think that, I used to say that if I win about $200 or $300 today, I will buy myself this and that; But now I realize, even before getting inside the casino, I already have more than that; why I didn't think that way before, I don't know the reason why).
On the other hand, my finances is still in bad shape. But I am working on it, one payday at a time.
The best thing is, today I chose not to gamble, and tomorrow is a brighter day for me.
If this is "SERENITY", then I chose not to be near any roulette table, today, tomorrow and hopefully forever. I continuously pray for courage, strength and the will to be on the right path.
I know this GAMBULL is so strong, but with my God, nothing is impossible.

When I started paying off the gambling debts I didn't have much money either...but I would still reward myself with a little something like you did...whether it's a new air freshener, a paperback, a magazine, an ice cream...just a little something to say "YEAH...I'm working my recovering and it feels good!"
