I would run there with the dream that I could win big and SOLVE all my financial problems that were really created by gambling; otherwise I would be financially sound. HOW SICK IS THAT?!?!? To keep going back to what has caused numerous problems: depression, being broke, overeating, etc Yes, that's what gambling caused me on top of everything else. When I think about how it nearly destroyed me, its what makes me never want to go back!!!!
Well we got to the casino about 10:15, I played my $15. free play that I got for it being Mother's Day [lost] and I still wasn't feeling very well. Played a machine and got a good bonus. By then I was in severe pain, yet continued to gamble! God, I am so sick. Finally lost about $20 bucks I had won from bonus [about $80], by this time I was sweating bullets. I found my sister and my partner [whom we had met up there]. I told them I have to go home RIGHT NOW. Okay, if I need to leave the casino, you know something is wrong. Anyway, eventually end up going to the ER. Was there till about 4 AM. It was so embarrassing, this terrible, intense pain I had been having STOPPED, just when we were getting to the hospital. Yesterday I went to get an ultrasound. Gallstones. I am hoping that I can associate the casino with that terrible pain. Maybe I'll be able to stay away.
