Itsjustme,,,, wow, good job on the sale of your home and the purchase of another one, talk about stress. But, with that said, keep on keeping on with your recovery, having no debt, is good, but can be bad if you let the addiction tell you otherwise, keep on with your recovery, you are doing so well.
#1. A radio station was talking about the movie airplane, a new movie has many similar sayings as the old movie. What did I think of? A slot machine. Then I started thinking about all of them that I played that were themed from movies and shows. Those are hard to forget and they were fun. I hate that they used those themes. They ruined it for me
2. My husband left for a fishing trip this weekend. I dropped him off tonight. In the past I always gambled when he went fishing. Always! I thought I would be fine but on the way back I started thinking about it. It was an out of control thought running through my head. Then I remembered I still have my road blocks in place. My ATM is set for a limit of 20 so I can't get cash. I had my husband leave his ATM card for our savings acct at the credit union just in case I needed to put money in our checking for an emergency. I cut mine up a long time ago. But I put the card on his dresser, not in my purse. So.. I was safe! I couldn't go even if I wanted to and I'm home now. I called my Dad and made plans to go see him this weekend. I'll leave right after work tomorrow. I need to pass the casino's but with my road blocks in place I will be able to keep myself safe and G.F.! I know can beat this but it really scared me. I did not expect to get urges at all. It's been a long while and I have been doing so good. I will keep my guards up!
