Back from all my trips, including Vegas. so happy to report I am well, Vegas was not a challenge at all, i was shocked when I got there to learned I had all in place in my head to not care about placing a bet, I mean, I didnt even have an urge...the slots were just there, and so was I and by the grace of God...it no longer affected me....(i was there for 5 days)
Thanks to GA...and all my 12 Step work, it's possible ...................one day at a time....
its been 10 months and 2 days since I placed my last bet..
GA has also ask me to speak at their next function...I am beside myself w/gratitude and peace- feel blessed
For those who dont know me...I have suffered for years, never having the strength to do it.....I read stories all the time "if i can do it you can too" and i just figured I was a goner...but once your brain fog lifts, and you do the work....the whole world is waiting for you and cheering you on....try and keep trying til you get it...you won't regret it...

I’m happy to hear you made it through your Vegas trip without the urge to gamble; you proved it can be achieved when your mind is in the right place, and your heart, both are important in our recoveries. It’s not always easy for my heart to communicate with my mind, but when I let my gentle heart speak softly to my mind I find my mind relaxing and a feeling of peace at last.
