You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there. - Unknown
i've been having such a good time these past week, maybe coz i am looking forward to a good footy match friday night, top 2 teams up against eachother, anyway i had a ball today, i was smiling and happy, i said to myself, i am getting paid on MONDAY yay, i must make it until payday. what makes me smile is my strength, i am learning and noticing how strong i am, how i am bouncing back from set backs, not holding a grudge or getting upset like i used to, i am being my own best friend. i am enjoying my life to day, planning for the future so i don't worry about my future, worrying is a trap. my depression has cleared, i don't have judgemental negative thoughts i used to have all the time when i was gambling, i really hated everyone and everything when i gambled. i didn't enjoy anything either. Life is today, i look to the good things, i look to my strength, my goodness, what i have, the love i have from family and pets, not constantly drowning in worry and fear, and the pain of gambling. knowing i don't have to gamble anymore, like i am free, and nobody can force me to gamble, or tempt me to gamble, or tell me to gamble, i watch for triggers, it helps control the gambling thoughts. stay strong people and love, ride the good waves. they will come after you quit gambling, you begin to feel the control, the joy, the power, the good days are here, enjoy them while they last. don't stress, the bad is over. loving life today. happy, 4 months gambling free. getting there.
