Being on this site everyday is a blessing. It will really keep you focused on recovery. Make sure you journal at least every other day too. And the telephone Ga meeting on Wednesday is also very helpful.

Having lost nearly everything including freedom and my life. The image of my worst day gambling and my lowest time in my life is what keeps me away from the poker parlors and casinos. I NEVER want to go back.
Staying in touch with others that are struggling and offering support helps keep me in touch with my own issues. D/S is written into my "Relapse Prevention Plan".
I am grateful every day to just have one more day to work on being a better human being and being intentional and mindful about what I do, feel, think. (I was intentionally un-mindful when I was gambling.)

I can relate to the all-nighters and the sickness that sets in as a result. That is the thing I miss least. I was beginning to feel like I was dying a slow death and that was very frightening.
