It may be that you need help to put a plan in place to deal with you finances. That was true in my case. Too much damage to see how it would work out... But, you know what, as long as I'm not gambling, I'm doing ok. Getting honest about the damage I had done was really hard.
Stop chasing the money. It really is gone. If you make the choice not to gamble today, you're taking an important step in the right direction. Don't be afraid to spill your truth and to enlist help.
IMO i think there is a huge amount of emphisis sometimes put on whats lost. Im free from gambling 3 and a half years and one thing that keeps me smiling is the thoughts of the amount i have not lost over this period rather than worrying about what was gone befre i stopped.
My advise for what its worth is get to a meeting of GA (like minded people who have suffered the smae) listen and open up, then take it one day at a time. But deffo dont even think about dwelling on whats gone, if you do then you are already one step closer to another bet.
