I said I'd post here once I got rid of my credit card.
Well, I did it on Wednesday, after 20,000 questions from the bank as to why I didn't want a credit card anymore.
This was my first weekend without a credit card, and I must admit, I feel a bit empty. I guess I've always enjoyed knowing that if there was an emergency, or a great spontaneous bargain, then I could handle it financially. But at the same time, I have come to admit that I cannot control my impulsive withdrawals.
Knowing that any money I spend will be MY OWN money puts a very different spin on things. I am a lot more reluctant to buy things I don't necessarily need.
I am now a week GF, and hopefully this will be a new beginning, especially with counselling and everything.
