I just saw a Monte Carlo casino ad on this site and sent an abuse report to DS:

This type of advertising should not be allowed!!!!!!

I would request that your site not take advertising from casinos, since this is a support group site.

I'm not sure if this is the way to report these ads, but I think it is inappropriate for DS to take casino advertising! I don't see alcohol or cigarette ads here, why take casino ads????
This is not the first time, and I wish we could all complain to them about this!
Does anyone have any other ideas?

It actually makes me giggle a little that the casinos are paying money to advertise on a site that I hold responsible for saving my life by helping me so very much in my recovery from gambling.

This was a topic a while back. I was sitting at my pc typing away, when my brother noticed some casino ads on the sides of my screen, I never notice those things. But there it was, in black and white. I sent a email to Doug and got the following response:
I reported, to Doug, via email, some ads I saw that were similar to what you saw. It's Outrageous! His response was this:
To take any actions we need the actual URL of the advertisement.
If possible, when you see the ad, please click the link. Once clicked, please copy and paste the advertisement's URL (it's link) into an email and send it to us.
>From there, we can block the advertisement.
When I sent the email to Doug, it wasn't because the ads tempted me, I live in Vegas, I'm surrounded by ads for casinos. I sent the email to Doug because I was worried about others who visit our lovely site. I didn't make the mess (the adds), but I want to help clean it up if at all possible. Those casinos are sneaky, they know what they're doing... and so do we.
