I found that I had to stop completely - once I became a compulsive gambler, there was no going back to "controlled" gambling for me. I got help through a local support group and individual counseling paid for by my state's lottery funds. I also found that I needed to block my access to cash to get stopped. If you look through previous posts on this site, you'll find lots of other suggestions - Qwit4Good and others have posted many helpful ideas. Gamblers Anonymous is another option. The main thing is to keep after it and find what works for you. Most of us didn't become addicted overnight, and recovery takes time, too. You're worth it!!

If you are a person that can't control your emotions, and you can't control yourself when you gamble better don't play such games. I play online poker for six years.
