I find that one of the areas I struggle in is with boundaries. I do not know appropriateness in relationships and I am 57 years old! Sometimes, I think I need to make friends with everyone at GA and at other times, I think that I don't want any of them in my personal life. It is one thing that the 12 steps of recovery have done for me...given me the opportunity to make a decision, although I feel very tentative, about whether or not I want to get into a friendship or relationship with someone. I am not referring to romantic relationships but relationships with anyone.
Because I often do not go to the local GA meetings, I always call into the Wednesday meeting and sometimes the Friday and Saturday meeting, too.
