So, I went to the casino and was just planning to spend $40, but of course, I spent more. At one time, I won back what I had lost, but kept playing on..Then, I went to a $5 machine and won quite a bit and played it all back and now, I'm down $ and so mad at myself. It is so frustrating!! Thanks for letting me vent.
whatever the case, don't beat yourself up. this is what compulsive gamblers do: we gamble until there is no more money. that is why most of us are in recovery.....

We crazily chase our losses. Promising ourselves that once we get even we'll leave. And then...it happens! We win, and now our luck has changed and it would be foolish to go home now!
Yes, we have all been and done things that any person in their right mind wouldn't do. The thing is -we are no longer in our right mind! Our brains have been hijacked by this compulsion to play and keep playing. We are chasing the high. All I can say is welcome to Daily Strength and I hope you come back, again and again.
