I just volunteered to help clean up a local park early saturday. When you are not consumed with gambling, life has new meaning.

That's so true. I look at my life for the last for years, and it felt that I fast forward my life waking up with financial ruins and trust shaken from my loved ones.

I pray everyday for a strength to make if Gamble Free :)

at first I had to do a 'not-gambling' to-do-list. I had every thing on it except gambling, and it did help. I still try to mentally plan my days out on the weekends to leave no free time to get tempted.

we can do this together. whatever ideas people have, we can share them to help each other.....that is what I love about this site.

It's great to make plans to watch a movie with a friend. Or go to a park, or the beach, or a ball game.
I'm going to the Giants game (SF) tomorrow, so will be hitting the road very early.
So glad this forum and you good people are here to help each other out. It's a wonderful gift. Fridays and paydays were always tough for me, but day by day, it's a victory.
