I believe I am more stressed out and can not sleep if I gamble
I believer shame come with gambling and that is not fun
Thanks afreshmind. I am going to write this out and put up to see. So simple and so true.
I believed I could relieve stress by gambling = Nothing is more stressful than the fear of thinking your husband (whom you love with all your heart) is going to ask you what happened to all the money.
I believed gambling was fun = Reality hit and I knew I was hitting rock bottom again with my gambling addition when I would hit a jockpot and I didn't even get excited about it because it "owed it to me" Well, if I wouldn't have started, it would have never owed it to me in the first place, right? No matter what stage of the gambling session I would win, I would always end up losing....I either had more money to gamble with, or the win wasn't big enough to break even, so I would "reinvest" the winnings to try to break even....boy was I so stupid for so long...30 years long! They are computers and are programmed to take your money...they wouldn't be there if they were only there to spit out money to everyone. Have a great weekend all and thanks afreshmind for the post!
