We went out to eat tonight at a restaurant in a casino. Maybe I should never go in a casino as a general rule. I had my kids so I felt safe at that point not gambling, but I think it would be best to stay completely out of them for now..... I hope it will not trigger anything later. I am nervous now.
I am scared. I am home safe in my bed..... I just want to get thru with this day without thoughts of wanting to go gambling. Sorry I am rambling.

oh my gosh, I can't even imagine going into a casino, hearing the sounds etc. Not even for a good steak dinner. Day 12 for me, and when I read your post I got butterflys in my stomach. Please get the place out of your head, its no place to be at least for me in my recovery, I never plan on going into a casino for any reason. Do yourself a favor, you're home, and you are safe, and sound and you're feeling the crap that you feel because you went into a place that can only bring you pain. SO PLEASE don't look back, unless you're waving good bye from a long, long way. xoxoxox

I've tried it many times and It never worked for me. To familiar and too easy to slip up. Plus, I don't want to give any more of my money to the casino for any reason what so ever! They have enough! I'm just glad you are safe now and proud of you for posting about it too. I think it helps to talk things out with those who anderstand what you are feeling. Stay safe Rsmithma!

Thank you all.... And I am making the commitment to never going into a Casino no matter what! It is a place that brought sooo much destruction! I do not want to play with fire in any way!
Leap year you are right ... I was having such a reaction because I know how dangerous it was. Thank you all again for the well wishes and putting me back into focus! I want this time to work!!!

Sooner or later, probably sooner for an addicted and compulsive gambler you will gamble if the opportunity presents itself.
Do not "kid" yourself.
Many have left children and pets in the car while gambling.

You ever so lightly "tipped" your toe into the "hot water" and came out without being burned,
the next time the water may be scalding hot.
You just can't tell by simply looking at it.

Please do stay away.
There really is no other way for compulsive gamblers,
people with impulse control issues,
we who can't control our behavior even if they cause us unbelievable pain and sorrow and unhappiness and our family and .............

New way... You are absoloutely correct. I have to draw the boundary line as far away from a bet as possible! No more testing waters! I am a Compulsive Gambler!!! I will always be one!!
