Gambling Addiction & Recovery Support Group
Compulsive gambling is an urge or addiction to gamble despite harmful negative consequences or a desire to stop. A preferred term among many professionals is problem gambling, as few people described by the term experience true compulsions in the clinical sense of the word. I am a gambler but I have never borrowed to gamble or got myself so heavily in debt but that's not to say I haven't lost a lot and ended up feeling angry and quite desperate at times. I hate that I crave casino's and online gambling but you can put things in place to help yourself. I suggest if you have an android phone, desktop or laptop you get gamblock, it prevents you from doing the online gambling. If you go to casino's and ask them to blacklist you they will. Its a lot of work but it all helps.
If you need to talk message me anytime. Keep coming back daily and poating it will help and when you get the urge come back and read peoples posts, that helps too.
Good luck and be GF today.
Today is the day you can make the difference and today is the only day you can make those differences.
Oneday at a time!
Do it for yourself, the best you can, and its the only thing you can do.
hang in there, you are only as strong as you allow yourself to be.

Turn around and take a firm stand to make your life better. It won't be easy all the time and it won't be quick. One the keys to a lasting recovery is knowing that you can't try and fix all your problems at once, you need to keep it simple and take any positive steps you can make and build on them. People will see your efforts and will begin to believe in you, but you need to believe in yourself, most of all.
Hang in there,
Jay
Don't let these negative feels get in your way of getting your life back. You can beat this and rebuild your relationship with your dad. Right now focus on recovery and what you can do to support that.
Check in. It really helps me.
likewise as stated so eloquently above,
we need to start on the road to recovery
and with time our family and friends will see
that we are committed and trying our very best to change our life.
It takes just a litte time and effort as we have probably worn
them out with excuses and demands of addiction.
Don't ever despair;
it is amazing how our loved ones want us to achieve
success and how they too come around at the realization
of the devestation of this disease.
god bless
and show them all you can do it.
I feel that I "hit rock bottom"
whenever I went into a c - -- - -
or now if I think of gambling.
Just awful stuff.
