Of course as I am writing this I am having one of the hardest days yet trying not to think about going back.... Gotta stay strong, find something better to commit to doing this afternoon! I start vacation and I have a few days off including this afternoon while my wife is still working so I need to fill my time, dangerous situation to be in!

Stay Strong Alex!!! I know how bad those urges get, and especially when you have the time and no one would even know you went! Find something else to do, like a workout or project around the house, or vent on here!!! I completely understand what you are going through, as it's been a VERY tough 8 weeks to stay away. Take it day by day. ;)

yeah i can relate to that time off and having to much time on your hands to think about gambling. im on my 4 day weekend and guess my soluton to not gambling was to get rid of what i had so the temptation wasnt there. gave me boy 50 and blew the other 50 on a carton of smokes. got like 30 left till tue when i get paid and its plenty till then. not enough that ill go bother gambling it but enough for some happy beverages to celebrate instead. lol

Alex,

Stay focused my man...you are doing great. Keep yourself busy, and mentally you will feel like a million bucks! If it gets real bad, try reminiscing about the worst feeling you had during a gambling experience, the horror, the self loathing..UGH. You don't want to feel that way, do you?

I had an EXCELLENT day! After I was done work I drove home... and theres a few points along the way that are close to a casino and it was very tough but I managed to do it, I stayed on the path home and I am SO glad I did :)

Instead, I went for a nice long 10.5 km bike ride, stopped halfway at a lake and although the water was contaminated and couldnt swim I relaxed in the sun for a bit before heading back, loved it... looking forward to the rest of it now so much more :)

I might not be on here for a while, good luck all and stay strong, IO will look fwd to catching up when I get back!!!
