Sooo....Dad finally started talking to me again. One day he left some free movie tickets for me in my car (he lives near where I work) and wrote a note which said "Divert yourself... take a friend to the movies." For my dad, that is his way of trying to make peace. I know that he is just worried about me. I can't say that I blame him. I don't think he understands that I will most likely be using both of those tickets for myself since I have no friends left but such is life... I haven't gambled since last Sunday. This week I took out a second loan against my retirement fund... a few thousand... because I literally had no money left and I needed it. In the past I would have thrown most of it into a slot machine but this time, I paid off a bunch of bills, loans,rent, etc.. and I have no intention of putting the last bit of money that I have in a slot machine. Granted, I am sitting here thinking about casinos since they have been such a huge part of my life for so long but I am trying to vegetate in front of the television and cuddle with my cat instead. So far so good.. One day at a time, right?
