When I resolved to quit gambling. I destroyed every casino card I had for the points they give you. Then I took my name off their mailing list and opted out of their players clubs and offers. If I were still getting flyers or offers of comps I would report them to my state's gambling commission, lottery commission, better business bureau, Indian affairs(that's our casinos in Oregon), and congressman if necessary.

i still get offers in the mail .... but somehow their must be a force on my side. since the casino i frequent has gotten a new general manager they have cut way back on the reel me back in offers. i used to get. 100$ free play a week. that was. like instant temptation once a week. then i was in a special club that had all free top shelf booze . that free booze probably cost me well into the 5 figure range. i have since cancelled all my email and mail addresses also. i hope i forget the place forever. there is nothing positive that has ever happened from their b.s reel ya back in offers. stay strong friends and lets not fall for their ploys to keep a grip on us! best wishes everyone. sincerely johnny

I don't get them anymore but when I would, I remember treating them like they were a rattlesnake waiting to bite me. I couldn't bring myself to throw away "200$" so I would throw them in the back of my junk draw really quick and hope I didn't think about them again.
I literally could not bring myself to throw them away.
When I told my therapist what I was doing, she said it was like keeping an abusive ex lover on the back burner just in case I decided I couldn't live without him. She was right.... it was like I was saying, I know you are dangerous and I don't ever want to see you again, but here, let me put you up for safe keeping in case I change my mind.
Gambling addiction really did a number on my ability to think clearly!

I am glad that you are going to tell them to take you off their list. WTG! Also, I really enjoyed Johnny's reply and I totally agree with him. There is nothing positive about anything at the casinos and they get us to come in with a "free" 200 bucks but as we all know there is nothing free about that money and they know it. The casinos LOVE us and depend on and prey on people like us.

My experience was always that I paid deeply for that free room.

During the time when I was at my gambling low (spending the most $) I would receive around $500 per week in free slot play. To be honest I haven't checked any of their emails or read anything they've sent in the mail since I stopped so I am not sure what I would receive today. I know when I stopped I had somewhere near $4000 in food/room comps. Those are a huge scam. What you spend to earn those free rooms & meals is tenfold their value.
