Hi Everyone,
Yikes!!! The last time I was at the casio was on June 3rd, and boy was it ever a damaging trip. It was one of those rock bottoms that caused a heap of trouble, and enough so that my husband and I made a vow to never go back. Well, here we are a little over 5 months later. We had about $200 sitting in our bank account, but we needed $500 to cover a bill (you know the story)... We were actually planning a trip to the casino to see if we could use the $200 to make the $500 that we needed. We even got a babysitter!!! Well, the time came and guess what? We stayed home!!! We both felt sick for even planning the trip. How stupid we were to think it would do us any good to try to win the additional $300...we would have either blown it right away, or maybe won a little and then blown it all back.
We woke up this morning to the $200 in the bank account. :) We took our kids to see a movie, lunch and then went to the park. Guess what else? We just found out that we will be receiving a little extra in my paycheck this next time due to some extra work I did awhile ago. Think it was God's way of giving us a high five??? I'd like to think so....God bless you all, and thank you for being my neverending support. Hope all is well with you...:)

It is awesome when you here stories where compulsive gamblers put Real effort in their recovery, take one breath at a time and don't let themselves be caught off guard by this horrible and crazy addiction! I am sure you felt stronger after this experience, feeling God's "high five". By sharing this, you helped me also get stronger and keep believing. Thank you!

Well, both of us needed an infusion of goodness, and YOU and your husband delivered it just now. I am so happy for you and your family...I'll venture to say waking up this morning, not in a fog, and deeper despair had to be a wonderful sunrise.
