The casino will still pursue you for payment. They are likely to sue you for the money, and can get a garnishment on your paycheck. The casinos, like pay day loan organizations pursue money like a bull dog goes after prey, relentlessly and aggressively.
Your only recourse would be 1) Pay it off - or see if you can make a payment arrangement with them 2) Declare bankruptcy
Ignoring it will not make it go away.
1. You have a gambling problem and want to barred from using a marker in the future.
2. You are unable to pay your marker because of your gambling problem. (You will not be first person they've dealt with in this situation, trust me).
3. You need to set up a payment plan to pay the marker back (be prepared to be charged interest). They will work out a payment plan with you. Be realistic about what you can afford and make sure the payment plan is something you can actually handle.
Do not ignore this. It will make things much worse. In fact I would contact them ASAP.
Thanks again.... I hope this works out.
