So, this week was incredible. My first meeting 2/4/18 I didn't speak (As I mentioned previously) just getting back into the feel for the meetings. I then started my job, love it! This is what I wanted all along. I also found out that Overtime is common...Can't wait!
So, as previously mentioned, had a fight with the insurance company and the motel, plus my taking an IRS check and blowing it all at the casino. So what happened?
Had three letters in my mailbox today. IRS, Insurance company and a loan offer.
Loan offer in trash.
IRS says "No, it's all OK, there's no probem" (That remains to be seen, but have breathing time)
Insurance company sent a check for the hotel bill...WHAT???? They were wanting receipts!?! What the heck??
I am SO DAMN GLAD I SELF-BANNED MYSELF. I felt the "Tug" of gambling, but since I banned myself, there's no way I'm going to go to the casino and be embaressed being hauled out in handcuffs. I felt so good, went to the $1 store, bought some stuff for the homeless and then went to Costco as I would want to save money and donate.
OMG, I can't believe the prices! I again felt a VERY strong tug at my heart "Let's go and gamble and come back and buy lots of stuff" I felt it so strongly, but said "No, while my heart aches for them, destroying myself will not help them. I must help myself first, then them"
Then the feeling passed.....Tomorrow night I start my shift, I get off on Fri and Sat. The old job had us getting off Sat/Sun...Phooey!
God said he'd help me out and I had some faith, now I see it's when I am in alignment with his word am I successful.....
I get paid tomorrow (First Paycheck in 5 months!) so while my bank account will "Look" nice, I know it's very much depleted and so I stay safe. I may even pay more on Bank CC as it takes it immediately instead of waiting 3-5 days.
I had a strange feeling that I should stand on the money, but realize that it makes it all the more tempting to use.....So getting it into cards I really need to pay down anyway.
Maybe that was my "Gambling self" trying to get me into trouble again? Nope, another win for me. I'll hit GA on Sat morning. I have a night meeting in Portland, but may have to pass on it due to work.....
It's OK, for today I will not gamble.
