All we can do is to learn lessons from our missteps and I am glad instead being lost in a "process" you actually opened your eyes to the reality and danger of illusions.
Hugs and Welcome back!
With love, Vicky
Well first I texted her, and then I called her. I told her that I have wanted to go so many times, so bad, I could taste it. But the things that have stopped me is knowing myself. I am a true addict. I know that if I go back the obsession will be back and its progressive nature will be such that it would be as if I had never stopped.
S, You are amazing! I am just grateful you are here to share your experience, strength and hope. I think that you have profound incites and I have brought your "stinking thinking" thread back to life a couple times. It has been invaluable to me.
Thank you, my friend, and I hope you are back to stay. Love and hugs, E
I've already told you how ecstatic I was to see that you were back on the board, and as many have already said, regardless where you are in your journey, you have always been, and will always continue to be an inspiration for all of us! Welcome back, my dear friend....we have missed you terribly!!!
In my GA group there is one guy who forever repeats "I don't care if you have 1 day or 10 years in, we're all just one day away from returning to to the hell hole of despair ! That's what I keep reminding myself, Shelly, as I close in on my 1 year anniversary coming mid April. I was talking to two friends of mine over the phone about this, as I am concerned that I may try to venture out to "treat" myself.
But I have to keep reminding myself of just how much peace and calm has come into my world over the last 10+ months. By no means does this imply my life is not without hurdles and obstacles, but now that I'm out of my "fog", I realize that this is just life itself! So, I'm ok dealing with the real things in life.
We're so blessed to have you back, Shelly girl! I so look forward to being an avid recipient of your wonderful insight and wisdom. I've told you once, I've told you twice, and I'll say it again....in my book, you will always be the bomb!
Welcome back, my dear friend...
Love you bunches, Tagg
