First time in a long time I made it a whole week without going to a casino. Towards this past weekend temptation was all around me.
First on Friday while I was making my lunch for work in the morning I had the television playing in the background. Within 10 minutes I had heard two commercials for two different casinos in my area. I was thinking to myself the casinos know that a lot of us are getting paid and they are fighting for our money. In my particular area of town there are 3 major casinos within 30 to 45 minutes from my neighborhood.
Yesterday after my walk/race I felt a surge of happiness and energy. So while I was showering the thought of going to a casino just popped in my head. I didn't have a plan for the afternoon. So I immediately got on this site and started reading. Took the desire right out of my thoughts. I went to a movie and had dinner with a friend. The friend I had dinner with is the person that I would go social gambling with too often. I decided to tell her I can't go anymore. I told her the truth that I was going up to the casino by myself even after I was going with her. I explained everything to her. She completely understands that I will no longer set foot in a casino.
Today while I was driving home from work a casino bus was driving behind me. Then drove along side me and finally passed me. Seeing their logo made me sick to my stomach. I'm glad it had this effect on me. I'm even more glad that I have this site to share on. I hope all of you had a gambling free week like I did. Thanks for reading.
