just read this in my local newspaper yesterday. its set to go up to 65 casino's in the northeast within the next few years. i cant believe the explosive expansion of these money pits within the last 10-20 yrs! i am biased and bitter about casino's due to my addiction. when i turned 19 (20 years ago..yikes i getting old haha ) canada had just legalized casino's so at 19 i was introduced to gambling and it was all downhill from there. But i had actually quit gambling for a few yrs due to the hassle crossing into canada and i started to drink alot of alcohol while gambling and did not want to be driving to canada. then niagara falls ny decides to put a casino right in my backyard and it has been a nightmare ever since! I think now almost everyone in the country is within 50 miles of a casino . you always hear about the excitement of a new casino opening .... but never hear about the people who lose everything chasing a false hope. you may get alittle warning in fine print that says 'please gamble responsibly' what a joke. well guess i will wrap up my rant ...just so frustrating that it seems to be a goal of government, big business, local government... etc.. to put a moneypit in everyone's back yard... with no warning of the consequences ! well best wishes to everyone like myself in the struggle against these evil forces. take care sincerely johnny
