Hi Everyone, 6 mo's & 2 days, that's where I'm at today! The past 6 mo's have been eye openers for me, mind & heart openers as well. I'm grateful to be at this point in my life. I'm experiencing peace of mind that over-rides my desire to self harm. I say self-harm because that's how I see my addiction, it's self harming at the core of where I live.

I'm so happy to be here.

Robin, Glad you are here and not out hurting yourself. Thanks for all your contributions and wish you continued peace and tranquility in your life. When the lows of losing exceed the highs of winning a certain karma and peace envelop us. Kinda like the calm after the ferocious storm. So much better than the hamster spinning on the wheel mentality, constantly running and getting nowhere. TC, Skip

as usual I gave in to the urge and today im in the deepest dark place I hate..I have $10 to my name and no money until Friday when all the bills will be do and im lucky to have #
$300 left over if i dont pay the house payment,,how the hell do I conquer this fight, I abbsolutely hate it. I have been gambling over 12 years and have nothing to show for it,,oh yes like everyone else I have won but not nearly as much as I have lost. I swore the other day after I walked out w $800 that I would never set foot in that place again. Not only did i lose over $400 but I skipped classes to do so.What a waste of life, time and money , yet I forget this feeling and do it again and again.wtf

I had to first decide I was worth the effort and deserved a better life. Then I had to work at doing something else. It gets better and easier as time goes by.
