I truly hope that everyone who is struggling to hang on finds in themselves to invest in their own lives rather than the casino bottom line.
There is a billboard very near the casino I used to support. Perhaps when I am debt free and have money to spare, I will rent it and post a warning to everyone about to go in!! Or perhaps I will just take a photo of myself giving them the finger and put it up there.
It's not at all OT- we need to celebrate and share our successes and joys with stopping gambling as much as note the pain and disasters of what gambling had brought upon us.
Best of everything!

Just a while ago I changed my status to "Good luck is what happens to us when we make the right choices". Sounds like that's what you are doing. WTG! Hugs, ~E
Before I became addicted, I never understood why people who were would claim that bottoming out was the best thing that happened to them. Now I understand!
The addiction slowly but surely chipped away at my confidence (among other things). Now that I've stopped my confidence has been coming back strong! I'M ME AGAIN!!!
To anyone who is struggling to get out - please don't give up on yourself. Keep coming here to read and learn - and ask for support when you need it!
Be well, stay strong and invest in yourself...all the best in your new assignment.

Renee, you were one of the first posters I read on the other site. Your postings taught me a lot about what it takes to recover - thank you for that! We are both on the same path of recovery and it feels wonderful. If we just focus on putting one foot in front of the other, the months will turn into years. I am determined to go to my grave a non-gambler.
