It's check in time!
I can't remember the last time I actually went and bought a $5 scratch off ticket but I can assure you that it's been at least a month. I haven't had money to spend lately so when I obtained $5 yesterday, I put it in my wallet so I could spend on a scratcher for the next day.
There are now voices in my head telling me not to spend that $5 on a piece of paper that is most likely worthless and save it for something else.
My sisters tell me a scratch off card once in a while is fine but two of them don't know about my gambling problems I had last summer, my gambling spree which consisted of me taking out 2-3 payday loans at once and using them to gamble. Biggest mistake EVER. Never doing that again.

Your post reminded me of an advertisement I saw for our state's newest scratch off ticket-a backyard makeover, complete with patio, outdoor kitchen, etc. I got to thinking that $5 could buy a few packets of vegetable seeds-once planted, watered, nurtured - would reap a harvest of heathy rewards. I'm headed to my garden right now!
