Love, Vicky.
Yep, we know what just 1 day of not gambling means... and I know how 'one day at a time'.. they ad up, its a miracle!
They don't understand what it takes to fight off the urges every day...on some days, every hour!!! We do, though and you do and that's all that matters.
I remember having reached my 6 month milestone, and I told my guy "I am celebrating a pretty significant milestone today" (not telling him the #) Mind you throughout my journey, he had always given me words of encouragement, and told me how proud he was of all that I was doing to remain gamble free. But on this day, he turned to me and said. "Oh, yea, honey, that's great......what's it been...2, 3 months now? That's so terrific!" I was completely speechless and felt so dejected!
From that time on, though, I never mentioned milestones again to him...I just celebrated them in my heart and here on DS! So I'm doing a Celebration dance for you, Rsmith...
Gve me an A
Give me a W,
Give me an E,
Give me an S
Give me an O,
Give me an M,
Give me an E!!!
What's that spell? AWESOME! I'm doing backflips for you Rsmith
(sorry it can only be in my mind, Rsmith....my body won't cooperate with trying to perform the real thing)
Keep plugging one day at a time and celebrating every single day!
Love Tagg
It made headlines here! Just keep doing what you're doing one day at a time. Thank you for being there for me, in my time of need. I REALLY appreciate it. I am hoping that 2013 can be our best year EVER! Love and hugs, ~E
The person who is 30 years gamble free was right where you are at some point in time.
Be proud! So proud. Every day gf is priceless. I would do summersaults but all the yoga in the world won't allow me to do that without ending up in traction at the local hospital. So I am doing a cheer and my dogs are looking at me and wagging their tails. We three are so proud of you! Yippee!!
It's all good!!
Congrats.............
I hope all of us can reach that milestone. Thanks so much for sharing the good news.
