Actually having a weekend where I find myself thinking at the end of the day, Wow, I didn't think about going to the casino at all today and even when I think that to myself or having urges or thinking maybe tomorrow.
i feel more and more unhooked from the craving of the feeling that it would be a good time or something that I miss. After my initial deflation and feeling awful about myself I really struggled for some days. Twice now I have driven towards it and caught myself, turned around and went and bought stuff for the garden instead. Two and a half months ago I would have been arguing with myself all the way to the casino.

So, after multiple failed attempts, testing my strength, I realized, I can't be near casinos whatsoever and even if choosing my route to go somewhere , not to drive near them.
I admire for your strength and making right choices.

that was me for years- the entire way to the casino I would be arguing with myself to turn around and not been able to. Finally getting to a place where I am centered enough inside to be able to turn around and it's a great feeling.
I know that there may still come a time where I have set backs and they are a part of our healing journey but for today and each day I will continue to make a commitment to be GF.

there is no way I could be on my way and then not go.
I commend you on your fortitude and strength to talk yourself
through the urges and turn your life back around towards home.
I am not near anyone c - - - - - that I can go to easily so it is
pretty safe right now.
I say right now because I know that I need to be vigilent each day
for the thoughts and triggers.
