I like the idea of "helping yourself by helping others!"
You're in a great place- use it as much as you can and as much as you need and when you don't think you need it, use it some more!
I, coincidentally, had my last bet on November 26, 2012, too- almost 6 months for us, keep up the good work!

Welcome to ds! You will be among friends here. I've met some great people that have been here for me from day 1 until now ( day 113). We all have a lot in common. We get each other. I look forward to being your friend! That's really awesome that you and Jay have the same quit date!!

Borrowing your own words "All 3 times were during the summer, when I was not working. I am feeling like I am at a really good spot in my life right now, and I would like it to stay gambling free"
Yes, summer is just around the corner, so it is good you found us now. Post often and don't allow yourself to become bored. I really think that boredom is the number one thing that drives us to the casino.
We crave the bells and whistles, and hey! isn't is fun...That kind of "fun" is disastrous for us. We, as compulsive gamblers have no "off" switch, and once we are through those doors -forget about it.
I often say our compulsion drives us there, but our obsession keeps us going back.
Do not have the molatov cocktail of T.O.M. Which is a killer for us CGs. That is Time, Opportunity and Money. You know summer is hard for you, so make it a point to come and post something every day. You gotta give it away to keep it. Keep coming back, Hugs, ~atticus
