Stories like yours are so important to the rest of us! You're digging out of the hole, and the bedroom furniture is a tangible example of where our hard earned money can go instead of to a casino's pocket!
I finally have food in the house! When I was gambling, I would have maybe $60 left over for household needs, so I'd shop day by day to make sure I could stretch it out. Lots of pasta, sloppy joes, "breakfast for dinner",no money left over for a full fridge or cupboard. Kept my change jar in the car for gas a few times, too!
Life after gambling is so wonderful in so many ways. Thank you for posting this ;)
Paying bills and getting out of debt slowly but surely ... that is the way to do it.
If you keep this up, you'll find yourself in a much better place than some hell hole of place that I won't even mention the name of (we know what place that is around here!).
