aw sweet girl, so, close your eyes, and think about where you were, 246 days ago. Do you remember? Now, open your eyes, and see where you are 246 days later.... You are doing so well, you have become such an inspiration to so many, please don't let this one moment convince you that its okay to place a bet. I am very proud of you for reaching out, that just goes to show me, as well as others, that this support group works. Hang in there, and celebrate your 246 days!

Oh, you poor thing, I hope you don't continue to torture yourself with feeling left out and still wanting to be with your friends who gamble. I still have friends that gamble but I have told them that I have a problem, I can't gamble and I don't want to hear stories about gambling wins or losses from them. If they are true friends and not just gambling buddies they will understand, not invite you to go to the casino with them and strive to find ways to spend quality time with you as a friend. If they don't do that they were not your friends to begin with and are only the pseudo family of shallow relationships we form at casinos and gambling parlors.

It is time to get some friends that don't gamble - that does not mean you have to dump your gambling friends, but you need to evaluate each one . Are they a positive influence or a negative one for you? Is it risky to hang out with them. Is there anyone willing to do anything with you that is not gambling? Hike, go to a poetry reading, a science fair, take a tour of murals in your town. ANYTHING - If not you need to make a plan of things you can enjoy and places you might meet others with similar interests.
Have you got any kind of relapse prevention plan? Do you have a counselor? A sponsor? I hope this is helpful- I have faith that you can get through this.

congratulations on 246 days. that is amazing...........don't turn back now.................you've come to far...

post all weekend if you have to. and remind yourself of the devastation we feel after gambling.

This set of new friends does not know I have gambling problem. I have developed friendship with them after I stopped. I told them what my issue is, and there you go, we are watching movie this weekend and bowling :D NO MORE CASINO..

You all are my strength and inspiration, without this site, I would still be in the darkest and lowest corner of my life. Thanking God for this site and people like you. You all are right, I do not want to be in the same spot where I was 246 days ago. :)

Congratulations on 264 days of gamble free freedom...and for working through those strong urges. Invest in yourself, take stock of the huge accomplishment you've achieved and fully trust your gut, not those impulses, that this is road you want to be traveling on!

Alright! I do believe that honesty brings divine intervention.Gland you are having a movie night, Give yourself some big pats for being honest and owning your gambling addiction. It was a hard thing to do but was probably your night right thing to do.

Congrats! I heard one of the GA Secretaries and sponsors telling one of the guys who is about to hit a year, that there is something about getting a year in that makes your want to go out and test the waters. I know lately, I keep having thoughts of "could I just go in and play $20 and walk out?" Yes, I want to go play so bad these days. Not sure why, so I have been keeping super busy. Latest thing is doing Zumba and coming home and doing jigsaw puzzles. Anyway, congrats and good luck!
