Today marks 21 days clean for me. The changes I have made in my life during this 21 day period are:
1. Once a week to draw only 40.00 cash out of my account. (Having more than that in my wallet could be a trigger for me)
2. Writing in my journal at least 4 times a week. And paying attention to the number days free of gambling.
3. Purchased a couple of books to educate myself about this disease.

4. Getting on the GA phone call every Wednesday.
5. Told 4 of my dearest friends about my compulsive gambler problem.
6. Planning my weekends in advance.
7. Exercising 4 times a week
8. Adding up all the money that I spent on gambling for the past 6 months and facing my accountant.
9. Forgiving myself so I can move forward.
I realize that I am compulsive and needed to make changes and be the change so my life will change. I am focusing on staying strong and I hope all of you do too. If I can do this so can you. Wishing you all the best.

During my 5 weeks of being clean I did lots of reading. Focused on books about happiness and appreciation.
I will have to check out those books.
