Struggling

Well I'm still struggling but thanks to my cc they cut my limit from 16000 to 5000. It still seems like alot but I can at least swing the min payment. Also I ran 500 over the limit today before the bank could shut it down. 5500 is better than 18000 which I ve run up a couple of times in the past. Thanks to my 401 and refinancing I ve stayed afloat. I m now out of chances. This has to be my last day. The online gambling is very seductive for me. I guess I can gamble with no one knowing. My finances are much worse but I'm still current on all my finances. Hopefully this will keep me gamble free. It's funny too because the need to gamble only arises when I'm off from work and bored. There s really no emotional need to run to gambling. I'm trying to find interests but boy it s hard after being married for 25 hrs. I've been single now 2 and a half years and still haven t found productive things to do. It s very frustrating but hopefully now I can pursue something that keeps me from the online gambling world. Sorry for being so long winded but it helps to post to let it go. God bless and all the posts help even when you re still struggling with stopping. Now maybe, hopefully I'm done. Hi Jlou - You may want to try buying one of those gamblocks so you can't gamble online anymore. I don't know if that's something you thought of but I've tried it a couple of times and it does work.

Also, you could make a list of hobbies you've thought about but never pursued, a trip you want to plan and save money for or helping out a friend, volunteering or mentoring someone.

Im struggling as well, altho I have never gambled on the internet, Im a casinio junkie ... currently feeling very 'bogue' like a heroin addict that needs a fix, ugh! Its day 2, and Ive thought about grabbing some cash and heading to the casino ... a 30 min drive, but I wont. Im in for the night, which is exactly where I should be! I have plenty of things to do, but am feeling so fatigued ... almost like suffering a drunken hangover, geez!

Yes, I keep tripping over myself, too. Why o why can't I make it stick. I do good for a couple of day and then just fall over the edge. What Mercury said on another post made some sense to my. I don't really know how hard I try to resist....Lead me not into temptation~I can find it myself. Every time I leave the casino with that lead weight in my stomach, I think "remember this feeling!". Honestly I am beyond tears anymore. It is just this grim realization that "yes, I did it again". Self-loathing returns-at this point in my "gambling career" it is never far away. I don't understand why I cave to the urges. Admittedly the few times I have managed to quell the desire, I had actual physical reactions. Stomach, headache. I am forever racing to cover checks. At the casino I go to most, I don't even need a check. Just my driver's license [how convenient is that] and you can't go ANYWHERE without your driver's license. I know that it takes 3 days for my checks to clear. I usually end up on payday with just enough to pay by bills and have a few $$ left over. It doesn't last long. Every payday I tell myself this time it will be different. I am such a liar. I do believe in a Higher Power and it isn't the casino! Sorry for making this not very inspiring. I want you to know that you are not alone. Just for today I will not gamble. Happy 24 hours to you!
