The neighbors kids, it was awful, they used to stand at our gate and call such horrible names to me. I was so scared to come out of my house. One time i went for a ride on my bike and they all got me in a corner and called me names again. I remember coming home in tears.

There was only one other girl who lived on our street and all the other kids were older boys. The boys didn't bully us, but always made fun of us, because we could not run, jump or play ball as good as they could..
I remember disliking them intensely, but I think I was at an age when girls only like to play with girls and don't care for boys anyway no matter what.
Dezna, I am so sorry that the neighborhood kids were so cruel to you during your childhood. It breaks my heart just thinking about it and I truly hope that it does not happen anymore nowadays.

My situation was the same as sanibel. The older boys would make fun of us and tease us. Not really bullying. Thankfully my kids are older now. I know if I had younger kids I would be a nervous wreck about the bullying situation in school and on the internet.

It was mostly the jocks and the "popular" group at school. Still to this day, I still get pointed at and laughed at whenever I'm in public. But that's THEIR problem, I'm much better than that :)

Hi lilstubby, sorry to hear that the jocks and popular group at school that used to bully you. It is not easy when you young and kids do this kind of thing. But you are right about what you said that it is their problem. You are a much better person then them.
