JOKE (a DS friend sended me)
A Rabbi and a Catholic Priest met at the town's annual 4th of July picnic. Old friends, they began their usual banter. "This baked ham is really delicious," the priest teased the rabbi. "You really ought to try it. I know it's against your religion, but I can't understand why such a wonderful food should be forbidden! You don't know what you're missing. You just haven't lived until you've tried Mrs. Hall's prized Virginia Baked Ham. Tell me, Rabbi, when are you going to break down and try it?" The rabbi looked at the priest with a big grin, and said, "At your wedding."
This joke reminded me of a real-life experience here in Boston.

I (Gene) was dating a woman whose dad is (was?) a rabbi. Because he came from the Midwest, seafood was not plentiful there. He wanted 2 take us 2 a place called Legal Seafood, and he proceeded 2 order steamers (that & other shellfish r not Kosher). Talk about TEASING. While he is his scarfing down his 'forbidden' steamers I asked him what the brocha (blessing) for steamers was? Then, when no response, asked him again. BOY, did he get steamered off LOL.

My late MIL had a dear friend from childhood who because she kept a kosher kitchen
brought her bacon to Mom's to cook, and we all had BTLs for lunch on many a sunday!

I do love the Rabbi's offer to have ham at the Priest's Wedding, too!!!
That's got to be how the expression tuche was coined!
