We shall keep this bumped up Gene until everyone has had the option of joining in...... It is quite understandable that some will hisitate to reveal personal contact info, and so be it, but for those of us who were so worried about a certain unnamed man in our DS family, it will be a relief that we may not have to play hide & seek the next time someone goes AWAL!!!!
I wonder too if it wld be any easier for some to give info just to one of the Admin ppl rather than in as public a way as a thread like this........... that could likely serve the same purpose............any thoughts on this..........Gene, Lesa ???

No real next of kin for me.

Carol always knows how I'm doing and if ever I was actually MIA Debbie lives nearby and could check on me.

Some people don't like sharing their private info online so it might be a better idea to have one admin who has the info.

Maybe too we could have a "buddy" system where we watch out for one another?

Online friendships have given us a way to connect with each other. I think that's a huge plus in managing our illnesses. When someone is missing we worry.

I agree Gene, I would and do trust Lesa without question, but we often hear her beating herself up for not having time to get to everyone on her few 'good' days between treatments. This is, I believe where her admins need to pick up some of the load. Ppl could pick an admin that they feel comfortable with and give them a contact person in the case where they can't sign in to let us know how they are. It really doesn't have to be data that is all that personal, just the email of someone who wouldn't mind being a liason between them & the group!

Lesa has my address, and home phone number, and I believe that Carol also has my phone number, several group members have my email address. I am a little hesitant to post them in an open forum cuz I did have kind of a stalker for a while, however I am happy to share my info with my friends here.

Everything you all have said makes perfect sense. There are lots of people on DS that do not have the good intentions that we here at FTTE do....Wasn't really thinking about that before. I do think it is a wonderful idea to give someone your contact info but probably not very wise of us to have this open post for anyone to see. I really don't want to think about the bad things but just being realistic. So let's just make sure that someone has our contact information or it could possibly be contained in a group list. Probably would be wise of us to remove this topic and communicate by PM. Thoughts anyone?

I don't think many of us have put out too much info, and those few who have are oldtimers who must have weighed the risks.......

I emailed Lesa all my info
