They say we could get up to 8 inches of heavy, wet snow. On the west side of the Allegheny Mountains. Sometimes it misses us. I can't get any weather website to show me radar, they're probably all too busy.

The mid atlantic states will get nailed with up to 2 feet of snow in some areas!

6 to 12 inches here in New York. I am dreading this, as I'm getting too old to be shoveling the snow off the car. People tell me to wait until kids walk by with shovels, and pay them.
NO kids walk by, and if they did, they don't want to shovel. Gone are the days when the kids were plenty and hungry for a few dollars.

A wintry mix changing to rain by afternoon in SC. I love snow, but we don't see much of it.

I'm a couple of hours north of Maria in New York... up here we're expecting 18 inches or more. We're not expecting to get out of the house again for a while... lol

The snow blower is ready, we've got enough sand, and thankfully we've got the whole-home generator so if the power goes out - as they have warned could happen - it'll kick in within a minute or two so we won't lose heat or any food or anything like that. Only concern really is just for our pup Oliver; he doesn't mind the snow but he's short so this is going to be overwhelming for him (he's never seen a snowfall like this before in his life) and worse, he likes going for long walks up to and around the neighborhood park and that just won't be possible with this kind of weather.

I am in northwestern Pennsylvania and we are only getting 4 to 8 inches. For this area that is like a dusting!! Was kind of disappointed the storm missed us for the most part.

Storm is heading our way and should hit tonight (in northwest CT) and looking to be close to 18”. They are still saying we could also get blizzard winds! Looking forward to cuddling in the couch!

Our road is a county maintained road. It was looking pretty rough. Two snowplows and a salt truck later, it's navigable. But as the temperatures drop, it's all going to turn to ice. It was definitely snowman-making level snow. Those days are over for me though. I'd have to make a snow caterpillar, I can't lift the big snow any more.

I think we got 2 inches more snow than predicted. But, it feels crazy because this used to be a normal winter for us from November to March or April. We've had so little snow for the last 15 years, or when we get it, it's one giant storm and then nothing else much.

I'm in Philly and we only got maybe 4 inches but it turned to sleet then more snow so we have icy conditions today and windy, it could have been a lot worse!!

We didn't get the 18+ they anticipated but we did get over a foot. Parts of Western New York saw over 40 inches so I'm not complaining!

One of my uncles suffered a heart attack on Thursday from shoveling snow around his house. He's okay now, had to have surgery to put in two stents but the prognosis is good. Still - it serves as a stark reminder to be really careful when it comes to clearing snow... it's such a typical situation that leads to a heart attack and yet no one thinks it would ever be them. He's lucky he survived; they had to take him to a hospital 45 minutes away because the local hospital didn't have a cardiac care wing. Had this been more serious he might not have survived that. And if he lived somewhere where the hospitals are overrun by Covid cases, who knows what might've happened...
